WEEK 2: Still life sketches

We were required to set up a still life and practice sketching it with different angles and views. I chose my bed considering it had many tones and free flowing lines. I also discovered I should practice these types of organic free flowing lines more. It was difficult and does not look good. So I added a orthogonal sketch of stacked furniture pieces in my room to see how the light hits the inside and work with a sense of distance. I now know I need to practice my curved line sketches. However, I am pretty pleased with my values and tones in these sketches. I have never really practiced or tried sketching with value and tone, and I like how it looks and I do not think I did that bad for a first pass.
